God and Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur is a day when some of us remember God. and make a last or first effort to improve the right and duty page that is written with him.

God as a bookkeeper, or a strict schoolmaster. Do we have a passing or failing grade?

God Almighty is worth getting along with.

And in general, we are used to thinking of ourselves as being at the mercy of God. At his will he will help or be kind, at his will he will condemn, or he will not have mercy at all (in the words of Amichai).

But what if the situation is reversed?

that he is at our mercy, is he in our hands? Very weak and irresponsible hands.

And what if God’s abode is humans? And is he at their mercy?

God who prays in each of us for mercy and grace, to give him a place by clearing the ego. God, every mental crisis shakes him badly.

God the ruler of a noble son who became a slave to a wild and given 4-year-old boy and his weaknesses.

We are the jailers of God, the prisons in which he is in exile. The great majority of people pray to a great and unfathomable God. While he suffers within us, confined in the prison of the mind and erased in the realm of consciousness.

Bad and bitter to God. The secular majority tramples him with a rough foot, lacking spirituality, tenderness and consideration for the precious cargo he carries inside.

The religious do refer to him, but in the opposite direction; Not sensitive enough to the God within and praying to a great, liberated and omnipotent God outside of them.

And there is a small minority of gentle souls who have received an overflowing portion of God within them and this makes their lives unbearably difficult, this is the reason for the difficult lives of gentle souls, and the precious burden they carry within them. They try to be loyal to him without thinking. And this in a culture and ecology that live contrary to the way of considering it. And they try to be attentive to the soul within them, but the beasts obeying the herds around them cause suffering, and through their suffering – the spark of God within them also suffers.

And usually do not last between the hammer of the ruling majority and the anvil of God and they break at one point or another, in one way or another. The clash between too much God inside and too little God around them – wears them out and leads to a crisis sooner or later.

God is in a state of weakness and separation within man, longing to unite with all his particles and be in a strong and influential state. But he is trapped, crumbled. Relational liberation by us, the God within us is weakened and crumbled..

His hope is that during our lives, we will strengthen it, expand the domain of its prison (the soul), and grow it through our consciousness.

King Arthur gave a riddle to the Knights of the Round Table. He put them in the hall, one wall in front of him the wall is black which is what he is not God,., where and how are you standing asked the king. All the knights stood by the black wall facing the white wall. That is, longing and going to God but far from Him. The king said, “You are all standing closest to the white wall but facing the black wall ‘you are in the complete opposite direction.

So we too, in the completely opposite direction, are looking (or not) for God outside of us. An aerial figure somewhere in unreachable high spheres. When he is the closest, the most intimate, the most part of us. And we prey on him; the most sacred parts of us.

We are drawn into a storm of emotions with every injury and insult and thus enter with dirty feet into the temple of God, into the world of the mind and emotions. Addicted to the consumerism of the ego, thus drowning its holiness with coarse and hard materials. We live in a hard world and we are hard on ourselves and so are hard on the precious baggage we carry with us. We set fire to social conformity and thus forget the loyalty to the individual divine spark that we carry with us which diminishes with all the snobbery and the sacrifice of the good of the spark in order to align with the behavior of the group majority within which we find ourselves at any given time.

Listening to God’s voice reminds me of Samuel the prophet who heard God calling him and thought it was Ali the high priest. God used to call us from within, and people who lived here thousands of years ago thought the voice came from outside. Today we have almost stopped hearing his voice, even from the inside. He tries to communicate through metaphors, songs, fragments of things that we cannot translate. We are very confused, we don’t hear, and if we do hear, we don’t understand the language, and we need several filters to give the voice of God within us expression and expression, and by the time it reaches our logic and senses, it loses its original form and its message. And the silent majority sees it as hallucinations at worst, and just subconscious gibberish at best. And a select few try to extract from the works of art, usually, the muffled voice of God.
