the innocence – a poem

the innocence,
we all had it
touching
completely there,
until the first blow,
Then everything shut down.
and yet
Looking forward to the next love
May you restore purity to the tarnished heart,
But an innocence that was once tarnished
tarnished forever.
and from now on
We will always be on guard;
innocence
surrounded by a wire fence.
